International Association of Jewellery Merchandize Planning Professionals Limited (IAJMPP), the first international association specialised for jewellery executives who are working in design, branding, merchandise planning, marketing and management, and want to transform themselves into a globally recognised and respected jewellery professional, held an inaugural ceremony on 21 September, 2015 at Hong Kong.
IAJMPP was founded by Evert deGraeve who is the owner and designer of EDG Collection Design Studio and Norman Siu who is an independent jewellery design and management consultant and strategist, aiming to create a strong notion of professionalism for jewellery practitioners, executives and organisations working together to share knowledge, expertise, resource, and support one another’s work.
IAJMPP has developed a professional title registration system to help individuals demonstrate their levels of expertise and indicate their recognised professional status. It has also established a path for members to obtain knowledge-based core competencies and pursue the registration of professional titles, including Registered Jewellery Design Strategist (RJS Design), Registered Jewellery Branding Strategist (RJS Branding), Registered Jewellery Marketing Strategist (RJS Marketing) and Registered Jewellery Enterprise Resource Planning Specialist (RJS ERP).
The association is now open to all for membership application in Ordinary Member, Fellow Member, Student Member, Honourary Advisor (by invitation only) and Corporate Member categories.
