ICA appoints new CEO

The International Colored Gemstone Association (ICA) has appointed industry veteran Brandee Dallow as its new chief executive officer, effective 6 July 2026. The high-profile appointment follows the retirement of Douglas Hucker, who stepped down in April after leading the association for four years.

Dallow arrives at the New York-based trade body with a formidable track record in luxury marketing, ethical sourcing, and corporate sustainability. She most recently served as chief communications and sustainability officer at Grandview Klein Diamonds, having previously held senior positions at De Beers, Rio Tinto Diamonds, and the Responsible Jewellery Council. Known for her strong advocacy work, Dallow is also a past international president of the Women’s Jewelry Association and currently heads the Community for Ethical Jewelry.

Her appointment comes at a crucial juncture for the global coloured gemstone sector, which faces shifting consumer demographics and growing demands for supply-chain transparency. Comprising nearly 700 industry leaders across 47 countries, the ICA acts as the premier global voice from mine to market.

ICA president Damien Cody praised Dallow’s collaborative leadership style and deep understanding of market challenges. Dallow expressed her enthusiasm for connecting with the association's global membership, stating that she looks forward to helping the historic sector grow, evolve, and tell its story to a new generation of consumers.
