The 73rd Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair has launched its grand opening yesterday at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) in Bangkok. Housing over 1,300 exhibitors from around the globe, the show is expected to generate trade value exceeding US$150 million, according to the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), fair organiser.
Dubbed the world’s fourth most important industry trade fair and the largest global marketplace for coloured gemstones, the Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair has been a powerful engine propelling the growth of Thailand’s gems and jewellery industry for over 40 years. Featuring above 2,800 booths from more than 20 countries and regions, the show is expected to attract over 45,000 international visitors to the three major exhibition areas across Plenary Hall level 1, level G, and level LG.
Among the noticeable overseas group participations are the nearly 60 companies led by the Hong Kong Jewellery & Jade Manufacturers Association (HKJJA) showcasing a wide array of trendsetting products including gold and silver jewellery set in diamonds, coloured stones, pearls, and lab-grown diamonds. A longstanding supporter and partner of the Bangkok fair, HKJJA’s presence has been one of the must-go destinations for discerned buyers.
A carefully curated line-up of seminars is scheduled from 23 to 26 February on trending topics such as jewellery design inspirations, impacts of AI on the industry, gemstone treatments, sustainable business practice, etc. Visit www.bkkgems.com for more on the show.
