TGJF 2017 a great success, TGJTA says

The inaugural Thailand Gems & Jewelry Fair (TGJF) 2017 closed its curtains on 18 June in Bangkok.

The show recorded a total of nearly 13,000 visitors among them over 5,700 were from abroad, said organiser Thai Gem and Jewelry Traders Association (TGJTA). Buyers were mainly from mainland China, India, Myanmar, Japan and the United States.

“The Thai gems and Jewellery industry is proud to successfully host the first international mid-year fair in Bangkok, Thailand, with the Thailand Gems & Jewelry Fair 2017,” said TGJTA president Suttipong Damrongsakul. “The fair would not have been possible without our partners in the public and private sectors, from the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, to the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the Tourist Police, and gems and jewellery associations across the Asia-Pacific region.”

He has confirmed that the second edition of TGJF will be held during mid-2018, reflecting the great success of the 2017 fair, said the show report. (Photo courtesy: TGJTA)
