13-8-2020

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) announces the winners of the 21st edition of Hong Kong Jewellery Design Competition with the theme of ‘Relative.Compatible’.

Received around 160 entries, the best of show award & craftsmanship and technology award in the open group goes to Lee Wing-yan’s Freedom and Bondage earrings which serves as a metaphor for the gentle birds breaking away from their tethers to regain their freedom. The Harmony of Sea and Land bracelet designed by Tang Yuk-ying and sponsored by C.S.S. Jewellery Co. Limited takes the best of show award in the open group. The merged blue and yellow ribbon symbolise the ocean and land. Her creation expresses how having an open mind and loving heart allows people to live in harmony.
