Holly’s Int'l to launch first auction in HK

17-05-2019

Holly’s International (Hong Kong) will be launching its inaugural auction in Hong Kong on 27 May at Grand Hyatt, Wan Chai. CEO Dr Li Yifei and department heads met members of the press yesterday at its art complex in Sheung Wan.

Among the jewellery highlights are jewellery artist Wallace Chan’s five earlier creations including a yin-yang ruby and coloured diamond pendant necklace (photo 1) and a Burmese natural fei cui and sapphire brooch (photo 2). Magnificent fei cui is one of the auction focuses of Holly’s, said Rayman Zhu (photo 3), general manager, business development (HK), jewellery and watches. The May auction will be featuring five fei cui works crafted from the same boulder weighing 233 kg which was the top lot of the Myanmar fei cui sale in 2014. The preview session brought us a fei cui bangle with high transparency (photo 4) and a bright green and highly translucent fei cui pendant (photo 5).

With a total of over 300 lots, the auction also includes watches, Chinese classical paintings and calligraphy, modern and contemporary art, Chinese ceramics and porcelain.
