HK brand to attempt its 9th Guinness record

14-03-2019

Coronet of Aaron Shum Jewelry Limited will attempt a Guinness world record for the most diamonds set on a watch at Baselworld 2019. The Hong Kong jewellery brand has already achieved eight Guinness world records.

The attempt event will be launched on 22 March 2019, Friday at 2:30 PM at Hall 1.1 A31. Set in 18-karat gold with 15,858 diamonds, the ‘Mudan’ watch incorporates a diamond painting on the dial by renowned artist-cum-designer Reena Ahluwalia.

Reena Ahluwalia’s collaborative project with Coronet, Coronet by Reena Ahluwalia, launched the Soul Carousel jewellery collection (photo 1) in 2017.

Among Coronet’s Guinness world records are the most valuable guitar (photo 2) set with 400 carats of diamonds worth US$2 million in 2015 and the most diamonds set on a handbag (photo 3) with 19,888 pieces or 120 carats of diamonds in 2018.
