Hong Kong Sept show to hold in Nov

9-7-2020

Jewellery & Gem WORLD Hong Kong (JGW) has been rescheduled for 9 - 13 November 2020 at AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE) and Jewellery & Gem ASIA Hong Kong (JGA) is set to hold its next edition in June 2021 due to coronavirus and associated travel restrictions.

Until at least September 18, all arrivals to Hong Kong by air will be subject to compulsory quarantine for 14 days, causing inconvenience for overseas exhibitors and visitors to take part in the show. “After careful consideration and a thorough review of all factors impacting JGW in relation to the Covid-19 outbreak, we have decided to organise a more compact fair in one venue this November. This rescheduling was reached with the well-being of our exhibitors, visitors, partners and colleagues as our top priority,” said David Bondi, senior vice president – Asia at Informa Markets, the shows’ organiser.

The postponement of JGA is in response to the feedback from exhibitors and industry partners of a survey conducted in in early June, which showed that more than 80 percent of the 700 exhibitors who took part in the survey preferred the next edition to be taken place in June 2021.
