Baselworld has recorded a 50 precent rise in Gems & Pearls sector signing to return for the next edition in 2020, boosting the number of exhibitors from 520 this year to over 600.
Baselworld attributes the significant growth to the relocation from Hall 3 to the more central Hall 2, allowing exhibitors to be grouped together in the space on the ground floor. The redeveloped floor plan is more spacious and visitor-friendly. Besides, exhibitors can choose between having turnkey stand constructions or building their own stands.
“In recent months, I have travelled extensively in Asia, India, Europe and around the world to meet personally with the players in the Gems & Pearls sector and better understand their specific business needs. Through listening, dialogue and creativity, we have been able to reposition our offers to better meet their expectations,” said Baselworld managing director Michel Loris-Melikoff.
