Cartier presented its astronomical jewellery collection, Les Galaxies de Cartier. The limited editions consist of 14 galactic pieces have been inspired by shapes and shades from the Milky Way.
‘The Alignment of the Planets’ cuff cages Tahiti in ever-changing hues within two white gold bracelets representing the planetary line up aligns the Sun, the Moon, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, and Saturn, together in the sky. Each piece depicts a different cosmic phenomenon. 'Fractal Meteor' bracelet comes from the imagination of meteorites and asteroids, made of rocks fragments formed by stardust with diamonds, moonstone and milky quartz bulged in shapes of square cones. Back to the earth from space, ‘Lights of the Earth’ with yellow and blue sapphires, fire opals and diamonds imitate the luminous glow of city lights viewed from the outer space at night.
