Fish brooch wins best design in local contest

The 20th Hong Kong Jewellery Design Competition themed ‘Be Connected, Be United’, jointly organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), Hong Kong Jewellers’ & Goldsmiths’ Association (HKJGA), Hong Kong Jewellery & Jade Manufacturers Association (HKJJA), Hong Kong Jewelry Manufacturers’ Association (HKJMA) and Diamond Federation of Hong Kong (DFHK) announced results during the HKTDC jewellery show held earlier this year. About 200 entries were received in the open group and student group. Jane Li’s We are ONE brooch which symbolises the power of unity has scored both the best of show and craftsmanship & technology awards. The three open group winners will take a five-day jewellery design study course in Japan. Here are all of the winning pieces.
